QS Dance Exams

Fiona Henderson School of Dance is approved by Qualifications Scotland as an accredited QS Exam Centre. 

We offer the following qualifications in Dance:

• National Progression Awards
• National 5
• Higher 
• Advanced Higher Modules

We are accredited for the following dance styles:  

• Jazz
• Ballet
• Tap
• Contemporary
• Highland
• Scottish National

We welcome pupils from other dance schools who meet the following criteria: 

1. They must be in enrolled at a recognised and accredited dance school
2. They must be at prescribed levels in the two dance styles which they wish to use for their QS course: NPA (grade 2 or above), National 5 (grade 3 or 4 or above), Higher (grade 5 or above), Advanced Higher (grade 6 / Elementary or above)
3. They must continue regular weekly tuition in both these subjects (at their current dance school or at FHSD) for duration of the QS course
4. They must have written permission from the head of their dance school confirming the level that the pupil is at in both selected dance styles and that they are supportive of the pupil attending FHSD for QS classes

QS classes take place one Sunday per month and are held at our Peebles Dance Studio 10am-5pm.
